it appears you Anglosaxons and your Imperium from Seoul to Vilnius is determined to pull a Napoleon 3.0. All the talk of war is truly frightening.
As I have lived both in Russia and the Anglo World, I would like to ease these tensions as much as I possibly can.
Maybe it helps to go back into the years 800 to 1000 after Christ. Then the Vikings sailed not just the north sea, but also the rivers south through eastern Europe towards Constantinople. They were not just raiders, but also traders, who sold furs from slavic lands to the Greek. In exchange they got gold and woven goods from the Greek and even the Arabs.
These Vikings are said to have founded Kiev Rus, which was the beginning of Russian Statehood. So many Russians of today have plenty of Viking blood in their veins.
Similar things can be said about the English and the British. Their kingdoms often included Vikings or were outright Viking people.
Take a ride in the Minsk Metro and you will see the brotherly relationship between Britain and (White)Russia yourself.
I am German and I can see how I am related to both Britain and Russia. We really should come together and realize how much we have in common. Look at each other's artwork, buildings, listen to each other's music. Let's talk instead of looking at each other through gunsights and periscopes.
If you can make a trip to Russia, please do this. You will find people who have more knowledge about "western" philosophers than you and I have. They are eager to engage us into dialogue and we should really appreciate this opportunity.
Russia is a great European nation and it would be horrible if their intelligence and hard work in weapons would be unleashed on us. Likewise our weapons would destroy wunderful churches, museums and many highly educated, yet kind people.
I dont want to abuse you, I truly feel this is a dangerous situation and we Europeans should come together and talk. I have a day job, a family and visit your site irregularly.
