Re: Rapid Change in Our Time ..... First Small Steps Colossal Quantum Leaping
Not so much anti-American (that's how our pundits interpret it), as ... ... preparing for a post-America world. ... Meeker Morgan
Is IT and AI and the Earth now in a Time and Space Place of a post America-leading-the-world world, Meeker Morgan .... is one leading question for a lot of positive answering if further greater conflict and catastrophic chaos is to be intelligently avoided/stalled/crashed?
And does America recognise and accept their new respected and revered role as aged grand past master wizard and great foundling grandfather figure reclining and cogitating and pulling old puppet strings and removing redundant pieces from the Greater IntelAIgent Games Board under the shade, out of the glare of the almighty sun, in the Cosmic retirement and recuperation home for the totally wasted and exhausted? A pleasant enough existence where they can plot and dream of piloting what might have earlier been and observe and comment on what is to be ..... is another one?
And if that is not the role they recognise and accept for their tomorrows in the twilight of the age of failed empire building, what do they see themselves as being, with it being clearly enough presented to the rest of the world for all to fully understand and gladly accept and support? Or not support and reject and oppose as the case may be if a chosen proposed role is surely bound to fail badly and sadly madly.

Leave well enough alone FFS Change it ASAP/PDQ
Let's face it the European intelligence agencies have historically always been targeting their own populations to quell popular discontent. .... StrangerHereMyself
And have always spectacularly failed to have any great positive effect in preventing further abusive actions which more than just suggests that agencies are in charge of and using failed intelligence.
And furthermore, if one assumes that all manner of present means of global surveillance can permit command and control over future remote party operations, rather than presuming that is the presently aimed future goal for an overarching and overwhelming unilateral command and control, one surely has to accept and agree that the current universal conflict and chaos is the resultant product of their intelligence and their intelligence agencies use ...... and that is certainly, in any language, systemic abuse supporting endemic misuse and vice versa.
Use something/anything else is a more than just a good plan to effectively change things, is it not? It is plain and simple common sense, a little something which manifestly appears to be missing in fraudulent circles and agencies widely presumed to be in possession of the activation of greater intelligence.
Quite clearly, evidently, they are not.
J’accuse.

Re: Perhaps...
Perhaps they posted the paper so that El Reg* would write an article about it.
Then they track all of the comments and flag each commentard as required, depending on what they write? .... TimMaher
There's a lot of ifs, buts and maybes and vulnerabilities to exploit and share in perhaps then they track all of the comments and flag each commentard as required, depending on what they write, with itself in turn being almightily dependent upon an interpretation of what may written and whether they be right or wrong in their limited understanding of anything peculiar or particularly strange they be reading/seeing/hearing/failing to rightly fully comprehend.
But there is no doubting such is an easily available viable option to learn of much knowledge/information/intelligence they may very clearly be lacking because it is totally unknown and novel to them.
Extremely potent and disruptive and increasingly dangerous and deadly top secrets that very few folk have any knowledge of, generously freely spilled across a multitude of deep and dark wild wide webs, are the stuff of everlasting nightmares for some, whenever the chance to buy relatively inexpensive silence with the withholding of remote third party evidence/proprietary intellectual property is missed and/or shared in aliens fields and foreign lands with a grateful competition or raging opposition.

What is preventing a worthy majority of elected Stormont representatives from growing a pair and acting as an effective government administrative body without those renegades choosing to try and paralyse future progress because of a present difficulty with a current problem in the pipeline for future second and third party resolution and removal.
If they don't want to govern with the tools and monies they are gifted, simply remove them from the rogues. Such immediately allows all the others to get on with what they have been elected and are desperate to practise.
Cut the cancer out and burn it. Ignore contrived standing orders and change clearly easily wilfully abused and cynically misused rules if they be forwarded as an excuse for continuing inaction.
It aint rocket science, is it? Who's leading whom? The majority of MLAs or a minority of MLAs? Who should be leading?

There is absolutely nothing, other than their own reticence/moral cowardice/complicity/blanket cross-community consent requirement/call it what you will, stopping the Assembly meeting and deciding on a speaker without the subversion from the DUP being recognised and accepted and deemed legitimate, is the point which was being made, Kenny1956.
If something doesn't work well, and the way Stormont appears to be set up clearly isn't working well for everybody which is what is it surely there for, both common sense and greater wisdom would both suggest it needs changed .... and sooner rather than later.
What is the excuse for that blatant omission/dereliction of public duty?

Surely Boris is more like to swallow Uncle Sam’s guff like a certain Chamberlain, another Conservative Party Prime Minister, did for the UK in September 1938 rather than any suspecting or expecting him of being able or enabled to channel any genuine Churchillian vibe. Indeed, is such not clearly recently tacitly admitted by him himself in one of his parting shots from No 10 office .....
