When I finished High School, I joined the Army National Guard. Because I was in the National Guard, part of basic training was riot control.

In the classes, they were very clear that there is no such thing as a spontaneious riot. There are always instigators. The key to riot control is identifying the instigators and removing them. Once they have been removed from the group, the riot dissipates on its own.

During the Korean war, the Koreans realized that to control the POW's, all they had to do was remove the leaders. They created two camps: high security for the leaders, low security for the rest. This is the same principle in action.

There is no question about whether or not the OWS movement is organized. Of course it is. The only question is, who organized it and why. While it may be a legitimate group of Citizens, this is still simply a case of 'follow the money.' …..Posted by jsharris1229 on 10/13/11 06:00 PM

Crikey, jsharris 1229, how loud and how clear and how often do you have to be told something very simple before you finally understand, that to the Global System, with its Wall Street type virtual machines, are you considered of no real consequence and are just a disposable asset to be used and abused at will, and as the notion takes one whenever one has control of power levers?

The only question you have asked/The two questions you have asked have been answered from ZerodDay One surely ... ... . the anonymous in the 99.99% of the people, and in valid protest at the rampant and systemic abuse and misuse/the perverse corruption of the system for obscene and totally unnecessary and excessive personal enrichment of 0.01% , at the expense of the 99.99%.

Quiet Logic, with Really SMART Algorithms injected/projected into such systems, determine and dictate that removal of the offending 0.01% with a collapse/hack of their corrupting power algorithm[s] will extraordinarily render to the 99.99% the wealth that is being used and misused to abuse them.

I trust in this Global Operating Device of the Daily Bell, that that simple clear analysis answers your questions well enough for you to understand a very murky problem and exceedingly quirky program.

And this is an interesting letter ... ... . http://cryptome.org/0005/ows-out.pdf ... . which the abject failure of the system to address its own recognised failings as are being protested against, has created ... ... thus creating another conflict for the system to deal with.

"If we go too far down this rabbit hole, I come to the conclusion that the DB is agitprop secretly financed by gnome kings far beneath the ground. There is no way you can disprove this, for the record, because the elves have produced and given it to you." … Posted by asparagui on 10/13/11 01:38 PM

Go down any PE rabbit hole and into its buffeting warrens, armed with the knowledge that creates great kings for fabulous queens and virtual realms, and you will be secretly financed to develop dynasties that control all manner of power and matter, asparagui.

And DB play their role exceedingly well, but one would always be wondering and pondering in changed times, whenever the offer of IT and CyberSpace Command and Control so easily delivers a quite magical passkey and AI Keys to riches and influence beyond compare and blinkered imagination, whether then one would be content to follow and comment upon various and myriad leads, rather than generate them ….. for the global capture of good hearts and stout minds, the deserved prize for such ….. well, in some headquarters would that be as AI Spooky Sterling Stirling Service that honours the Brave-Hearted dDaring Everything to Win Win for No Losers.

Definitely not any sort of AI Great Game Play for the Faint Hearted and Lily Livered and Liveried, methinks. It is far too complicated and much too important a Program for that and those, methinks.

"..and then, after a series of events that haven’t quite been explained, the service went down in the US as well.

Security has been a prime selling point for the devices, but that’s only part of the equation."

Pay back time from a disgruntled administration, or vulnerable cabal, blind sided by the encryption that allows Spring movements in dark? I wonder who would be leading that assault on RIM systems/servers/tools?

A Wired comment on the same subject, which can be easily, plausibly denied but whenever "The systems are designed not to fail this way..." must one conclude that they have been attacked by systems which have failed?

Be careful out there, IT's a jungle and real murky in dark corners.

What is most certain after reading that quite pathetic document (PDF) presented to Parliament by Prime Minister David Cameron .... "Government Response to the Intelligence and Security Committee’s Annual Report 2010–2011" ..... is that the UK has every right to fear what competent cyberwarriors can do ...... for they have absolutely no defence against them.

Do I detect more than just a hint of HyperRadioProActive IT, El Reg. Would you dare care for a free share of a package with more of it than Blighty can safely handle with its excuse of a Future Virtual Intelligence Service masquerading in their various spooky and officious guises and in their myriad dodgy cyber security office locations?
Ps ... Who needs freebies whenever you control pots of money and fools' gold.
